JUMP House Trampoline Park, Viernheim
Nominee in the Culture, Education, and Leisure category at the 14th Rigips Trophy
The new trampoline park in Viernheim, in the south of Hesse, offers fun and excitement for all ages. Situated directly next to the Rhein-Neckar Centre — the largest shopping centre in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, with over 110 shops — the location is unbeatable. The construction of Germany's most modern Jump House was intended to make local shopping more attractive and counteract the growing popularity of online shopping. Freestanding RigiRaum cells were used in the Jump House. The requirements for these were defined in the electrical distribution room as RigiRaum cells in F 90 all-round. Additionally, the room cells were required to be walkable. Due to the construction of the escape route, the area was equipped with a walkable F 60 escape tunnel. A kitchen was also integrated and fitted out with moisture-resistant Rigips Glasroc X boards. As all exterior walls were constructed with sandwich boards, it was not possible to attach any loads to them. Stud walls were therefore erected as a solution. All walls were clad with at least one layer of Rigips Die Harte to ensure the structural rigidity of the systems. Ceilings without fire protection requirements were covered on the upper side with a wood-based panel to make the entire ceiling area walkable. One of the particular challenges of the construction project was that the RigiRaum cells had to support the weight of a ventilation system. This system is 1,400 mm wide, 4,300 mm long and weighs approximately 970 kg. OSB boards were also installed to absorb the loads of the client's special shelving systems.
