The venue for this unique showcase of international drywall craftsmanship was the "Convento do Beato" in Lisbon. This historic building was commissioned in the 15th century by Queen Isabel as a hospital for the so-called Blue Monks. Its abbot, Brother António da Conceição, was beatified in 1602, and the Portuguese have since referred to him as Beato António (Blessed António), which gave the building its name. Thanks to the Portuguese marble used in its construction, the building was not destroyed during the great earthquake of 1755. After secularisation, it was used as an industrial building. Today, it is a protected monument and a magnificent venue for significant events.
Guests celebrated the 14 international winners late into the night before exploring the beautiful city of Lisbon the next day, both on foot and, of course, with the famous tram.
