Rigips Trophy Gala Event 2025

The venue for the "German Championship of Drywall Construction" was the venerable Albertinum in Dresden. With significant works by international artists from Romanticism to the present day, the museum building provided a more than fitting setting for the gala event of the 14th Rigips Trophy. When the guests arrived at the Albertinum in the early evening, they were appropriately welcomed first by Friedrich August I, Elector of Saxony – known as Augustus the Strong – and his confidante Anna Constantine Countess of Cosel. As a sign of special appreciation, Danijel Lučić, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at SAINT-GOBAIN RIGIPS, as well as Andreas Heidrich, Sales Director, and Markus Rehm, Marketing Director, personally welcomed the drywall construction companies who had travelled from all parts of Germany during the official part of the award gala. 
In addition to the central theme of honouring the winners, nominees, and participants of the established drywall construction competition by RIGIPS, another focus was placed on promoting young talent. For the first time, the participants of the German Junior Championship in Drywall Construction were among the guests: The "Expansion Hero" is already in its 13th round this year and has thus established itself as a successful initiative for fostering young talent. The young drywall installers in Dresden received a warm welcome from the audience and had plenty of opportunities to "experience the stage". Additionally, a special award for outstanding training efforts was presented for the first time to Jaeger Beteiligung GmbH + Co KG from Dortmund.

On the screen, the attending professional contractors were already able to admire their construction achievements and gain a first impression of the high-calibre participant field.
The suspenseful anticipation of all attendees gradually unfolded during the festive gala event, as the 6 winners and 16 nominees were officially announced and honoured in the two award segments. For entertaining highlights, there were the animated sculptures of the Albertinum, a wonderful light show, and, as the absolute highlight to conclude the evening, the Michael Jackson Tribute Show, which brought all the guests to their feet.

At the end of the event, all 25 award winners came together once more on stage for the official closing photo and received another round of well-deserved applause from the nearly 300 attending drywall construction companies.
Afterwards, the guests celebrated exuberantly until the early hours of the morning.

Rigips Trophy Gala Event 2023

The banquet hall of the Frankfurt Palmengarten, with its magnificent charm from the 1870s, was the venue for the 13th Rigips Trophy on March 11 2023. A wonderful setting to honour the best of the best in German drywall craftsmanship. Nearly 300 guests entered the building complex through the Bauhaus annexe, and after checking their coats and being welcomed by the Rigips management and sales team, a grand view opened up from the gallery during the reception. Splendid Neo-Renaissance ornaments, well-preserved wall designs, two massive classic chandeliers, and the festively set tables in the gala area provided a true feast for the eyes. On various monitor stands, the participant certificates of all 60 drywall companies were displayed, offering an initial glimpse into the high-calibre field of participants.

The eager anticipation of all participants gradually dissolved during the festive gala event as the 8 winners and 12 nominees were officially announced and honoured in two award segments. Engaging entertainment was provided by a video mapping experience, a spectacular violin duo, and, as the absolute highlight to conclude the evening, the "Falco meets Queen" show, which brought all the guests to their feet.

At the end of the event, all 20 honorees gathered on stage once more for the official closing photo and received another round of well-deserved applause from the over 100 drywall companies in attendance.

Afterwards, the guests celebrated exuberantly until the early hours of the morning.
