Rigips Kompakt: Rigips Habito - Rigips Die Harte - Secure load fastening on hybrid wall construction
A hybrid wall construction consists of double-sided, double-clad drywall made up of two different types of board.
This intelligently combines the strengths of the two types of board. RIGIPS has extensive experience with hybrid constructions, gained over more than 10 years, and now offers a variety of systems in which different high-performance boards are combined for specific purposes.
In Rigips Kompakt 01/20, we demonstrate the benefits of a hybrid construction using Rigips Die Harte in the first layer and Rigips Habito in the second, as implemented in the Weserrenaissance Museum Schloss Brake in Lemgo. A project-specific solution was developed here that was precisely tailored to the requirements.
Task:
A RigiRoom system was created for use as an outdoor shop area. This required a load-bearing attachment without the need for additional traverses or other reinforcements.
Solution:
The hybrid wall construction uses Rigips Habito 12.5 and Rigips Die Harte 12.5. This enabled all shelving units for the museum shop to be attached directly to the hybrid wall using standard chipboard screws.
The combination of Rigips Die Harte and Rigips Habito enables heavy loads to be attached directly to the wall without the need for traverses or other reinforcements.
This construction variant not only meets the requirements for load-bearing attachment in a special way but is also DIN-compliant according to DIN 18183. Furthermore, it is approved as a fire protection construction in F 90-A.
