General Trophy information
RIGIPS first launched the Rigips Trophy in 1997 as a drywall competition, and it has since become a permanent event in the industry. For the 14th time, professional trade companies can now apply with their top expansion projects for this prestigious competition.

The Trophy of the Rigips Trophy
The winners of the first eight German competitions received a trophy specially designed for RIGIPS by the artist Reimund Franke from Krefeld. The uniquely designed trophy consisted of two halves of a hexagonal cylinder with electroplated surfaces. The inner surfaces depicted motifs from six millennia of construction history.
A completely new trophy was developed for the 9th Trophy by Düsseldorf designer Axel Wowereit.
The trophy symbolises a milestone, which has been used for millennia to mark paths and indicate directions. It represents exceptional achievements in drywall construction arising from the craftsmanship of skilled tradespeople, as well as outstanding performance in drywall construction, showcasing the highest degree of flexibility and versatility.
The trophy is made up of two base plates, representing the Rigips range of interior finishing solutions for modern construction. These form the foundation for craftsmanship in drywall construction.
The long white trophy arm represents the Rigips milestones in drywall construction. This construction method has been continuously developed by RIGIPS through numerous innovations, many of which are now considered milestones. The short golden, silver, bronze, or blue trophy arm represents the craftsmanship of the winners of the Rigips Trophy. Their expertise and craftsmanship transform our products into functional solutions that serve outstanding objects, making them groundbreaking for the industry. In other words: milestones of craftsmanship.
This very symbiosis of the highest product and execution quality is embodied by the trophy. At the same time, its distinctive aesthetic form expresses the high dynamism and flexibility of modern drywall construction, perfectly reflecting the aspirations and values of the Rigips Trophy.

Rigips Trophy - almost 30 years of German drywall history
In 1997, RIGIPS initiated a competition featuring various drywall projects. Today, this competition is known as the Rigips Trophy and has become a staple in the drywall industry.
Over the course of two decades, the Rigips Trophy has evolved into a kind of hallmark for high-quality drywall construction with great appeal. On the occasion of its 10th anniversary in 2016, an exclusive anniversary volume was published, offering an equally entertaining and informative retrospective on two decades of Trophy history and stories. Looking ahead, the jurors of the Rigips Trophy provide insights into the future prospects of modern drywall construction through their guest contributions.
