The challenging 6,000 m² hospital complex comprises 180 beds, including intensive care and monitoring beds, as well as five operating rooms, two of which are hybrid ORs. Outpatient clinics, emergency radiology and clinical research and teaching facilities complete the sustainable spatial and functional program. The necessary tranquillity for patients at the new Heart Centre was achieved with the help of Rigips constructions. IBB-Immo Bau Bonn GmbH's main task was to meet the special requirements for the wall constructions. A highly sensitive construction method was required due to the particularly high installation density, as well as the necessary sound and fire protection. The walls were acoustically optimised and constructed according to the original plan using Rigips Die Harte. Reinforcements for accommodating various pre-wall installations were implemented using Rigips traverses and UA profiles. Additionally, the WC units were completely constructed on the inside with moisture-resistant Glasroc X boards. Many walls were also built using non-combustible materials such as traverses made of Rigidur gypsum fiberboards. Using Rigips traverses, UA profiles and special constructions made of galvanised square profiles increased the load-bearing capacity of the attachments. Special measures, such as soft sealing, ensured reliable soundproofing despite the high density of installations. Close collaboration with Rigips technicians resulted in a series of targeted solutions. For instance, up to twenty special detail sketches were developed and numerous complex challenges were constructively resolved. A total of 7,695 penetrations of all kinds had to be created and processed professionally.
