Second Place in the Drywall Category at the 13th Rigips Trophy

The LUV8 is one of Germany's most modern office buildings and is home to the new Loxone branch, a building automation expert. Its partners can explore innovative automation solutions in various training rooms and an exclusive showroom. Spanning 3,600 square metres, the new building offers light-filled office spaces across four floors. Thanks to the central construction layout, these spaces can be configured as single rooms, combinations of rooms, or open spaces. Installing cooling and heating ceilings, numerous curved constructions, high-quality surface finishes and integrating custom components into various ceiling constructions presented numerous challenges to the drywall professionals from Germerott Innenausbau GmbH & Co. KG. In keeping with the building's dynamic overall composition, they created seamless transitions for all components, ensuring that the walls and cladding shells connect smoothly to the ceilings and light grooves with no visible joints. The building's name, LUV, meaning "windward" in nautical language, is reflected inside by a wall designed to resemble a ship's hull. This "slanted" wall was one of the biggest challenges and was executed with the utmost precision and craftsmanship.
