1st Place in the Drywall category at the 13th Rigips Trophy
The newly constructed "Montblanc House" is located on Montblanc’s company grounds in the western part of Hamburg, in the district of Hamburg-Altona. The building houses a museum, a café, a boutique, a modern training area and a reception space for select guests. The focus is on the brand experience and Montblanc’s corporate history. The building's design is derived from the company's philosophy and an iconic feature of the brand: the elegant curve of a fountain pen's body. The craftsmanship required to realise the building's high architectural standards — including complex spatial overlaps, "floating" staircases and exceptional surface treatment — was a key aspect of the drywall work. A notable design feature is the central "Montblanc Dome" – a curved acoustic ceiling with a circular opening. The visually distinct design language and the refined wall and ceiling surfaces create fascinating spatial experiences. The RC3 wall with Rigips Habito, installed around the floating archive, was also technically demanding.
