Rigidur sound insulation fill
Easy application + optimal sound insulation = maximum benefit
Highly durable and stable levelling layer
The Rigidur sound insulation filler, which is made from natural anhydrite, has been developed to create a level supporting layer beneath dry screed.
Thanks to its extremely high bulk density of around 1,600 kg/m³, it is particularly effective at improving sound insulation by adding weight to the ceiling structure.
Further advantages
- Dry system, no moisture added
- Highly resilient levelling layer thanks to special structure and grain size distribution
- Considered mechanically bound fill
- Settlement-proof for fill heights from 15 to 150 mm
- Certified fire protection up to F 90
- Building material class A1
Load capacity – sound insulation – fire protection
Wooden beam ceilings typically provide limited sound insulation due to the original ceiling's lack of mass.
However, this can be easily remedied by using a combination of Rigidur sound insulation fill, impact sound insulation and Rigidur screed elements, which significantly improves sound insulation and provides a tested fire resistance class of up to F90. Additionally, floor irregularities can be levelled, cables and pipes hidden, and a finished floor created quickly.
With a construction height of 100 mm, an impact sound insulation value of
just 27 dB on an old wooden beam ceiling:
For a perfect top layer
All common top layers can be combined with Rigidur screed elements, as detailed in the recommended combinations in the Processing Guidelines for Flooring.
