Around 300 guests celebrate the highlights of drywall construction in Dresden.

The approximately 300 guests invited to the awards gala in Dresden were eagerly awaiting the highlight of the 14th Rigips Trophy 2024 | 2025: the announcement and honouring of the best drywall companies and their exceptional interior construction projects. An independent, high-profile jury had previously selected three winning projects and awarded three additional special prizes for exceptional construction achievements. The results of the jury's deliberations were kept under strict secrecy until the awards ceremony later in the evening on 15 February 2025. Culinary delights and a colourful supporting programme helped to pass the time while the winners were being announced.

Awards Gala for the 14th Rigips Trophy 2024 | 2025: around 300 guests gathered at the historic Albertinum in Dresden, eager to hear the announcement of the winners of Germany's most prestigious drywall competition. They were welcomed by none other than Friedrich August I, Elector of Saxony — also known as Augustus the Strong — and his confidante, Anna Constantia Countess von Cosel.

The awards ceremony was held at the famous historic Albertinum in Dresden. Home to significant works by international artists from the Romantic period to the present day, the museum provided an appropriately fitting setting for the 14th Rigips Trophy Gala. When the guests arrived at the Albertinum in the early evening, they were welcomed by none other than Friedrich August I, Elector of Saxony — also known as Augustus the Strong — and his confidante, Anna Constantia Countess von Cosel.

In his welcome speech, Danijel Lučić, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at SAINT-GOBAIN RIGIPS, emphasised the continuity and strong mutual trust in the collaboration between German drywall specialists and the manufacturer of modern interior construction solutions.
For almost 30 years, drywall contractors have been recognised for their outstanding construction projects as part of the Rigips Trophy. The best among them can call one of the coveted winner's trophies their own.

As a sign of special appreciation, Danijel Lučić, Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at SAINT-GOBAIN RIGIPS, as well as Andreas Heidrich, Director of Sales, and Markus Rehm, Director of Marketing, personally welcomed the drywall contractors who had travelled from all parts of the country during the official part of the awards gala.

"We have once again found the perfect venue for the Rigips Trophy gala in Dresden. It is no coincidence that this metropolis bears the honorary nickname ‘Florence on the Elbe’, given that it is home to historical architecture and top-class craftsmanship. It is in this tradition of construction and craftsmanship that you and your interior construction projects, which are to be honoured tonight, dear guests, stand,” said Danijel Lučić. ‘In the nearly 30-year history of the Rigips Trophy, the focus has always been on showcasing the achievements of experienced professionals with modern drywall systems. This competition has always represented the continuity of our collaboration and the great mutual trust. The projects you are presenting tonight are impressive evidence of this collaboration, and a testament to our shared success.”

Interior Construction Heroes 2024: for the first time, guests included participants from last year's German junior championship in drywall construction. Supported by RIGIPS, the “Interior Construction Hero” initiative has now firmly established itself as a successful programme for promoting young talent.

Big stage (also) for young talent

Danijel Lučić’s welcome speech also focused on promoting young talent. For the first time, guests included participants of the German junior championship in drywall construction: Now in its 13th year, the “Interior Construction Hero” has firmly established itself as a successful initiative for promoting young talent. The young drywall installers in Dresden received a warm welcome from the audience and had plenty of opportunities to “breathe stage air”.

Additionally, a special prize was awarded for the first time for outstanding work in promoting young talent and training in drywall construction. Danijel Lučić and Andreas Heidrich presented this prize to Thomas Weinrich, who accepted it as the Managing Director of Jaeger Ausbau Beteiligung GmbH & Co. KG Dortmund.
