Rigitone Edge Activ'Air for decorative acoustic ceilings

Faster and easier processing thanks to the beveled and primed special edge

Drywall specialist RIGIPS has expanded its existing ceiling range with the new Rigitone Edge Activ’Air perforated boards, offering a particularly fast and easy-to-process alternative for creating high-quality acoustic ceilings. Thanks to the factory-chamfered and primed edges of the new boards, installation time and joint filler consumption are significantly reduced. Rigitone Edge Activ’Air is available in six different perforated board designs, providing a wide range of options for creating attractive, seamless ceiling patterns. Like previous Rigitone perforated boards, the new Edge variant also features the unique Activ’Air air purification effect.

Thanks to the factory-chamfered and primed edges of the new boards, installation time and joint filler consumption are significantly reduced.

Thanks to its new special edge, Rigitone Edge Activ’Air can be processed faster, as the boards can be butted together and installed directly. Thanks to the new edge design, filling the joints with the corresponding Rigitone Mix joint filler is also extremely material-efficient.

Versatile aesthetics and impressive room acoustics

Rigitone Edge Activ’Air is a particularly attractive ceiling solution due to its seamless installation with continuous perforations – combined with impressive acoustic properties. The new perforated board range includes designs featuring regular and staggered round perforations, scattered perforations, as well as scattered and square perforations. The boards come with a white or black acoustic fleece as standard and offer excellent sound-absorbing properties, particularly in the frequency range of the human voice. They are therefore ideal for spaces where high-quality aesthetics and balanced room acoustics are equally important.

Rigitone Edge Activ’Air boards have an untreated surface. After installation and joint filling, the boards are primed on site and painted with a roller. This enables individual design, and in the case of renovation, the board surface can easily be recoated without affecting its properties.

Safe processing with the Rigips ReadyMix set

Rigitone Edge Activ’Air boards are installed using joint-filling techniques. The Rigips ReadyMix set makes processing particularly safe and easy, as it includes optimally coordinated system components. The Rigitone Mix ready-to-use filler, which is available in a practical tube, is simply inserted into the gun provided in the set. The innovative joint nozzle, which has been specially developed for filling Rigitone perforated boards, ensures that the joints are completely and slightly overfilled thanks to its unique geometry. Subsequent processing is then carried out with the matching Rigips spatula.

Activ’Air technology with proven long-term effects

All Activ’Air boards from RIGIPS, including Rigitone Edge, contain a unique organic-mineral active ingredient. This ingredient can absorb air pollutants, such as formaldehyde, from indoor air and convert them into harmless, inactive compounds that are then bound permanently. Long-term tests conducted according to international standards have proven that, when installed, Activ’Air boards permanently remove up to 70 per cent of formaldehyde from indoor air within a short period, without the risk of re-emission.

Rigitone Edge Activ’Air boards offer building users and occupants a dual level of comfort thanks to their excellent acoustic properties and the sustainable improvement they deliver to indoor air quality. RIGIPS has compiled all the necessary information, including details of the available perforation designs and associated processing guidelines, in a clear brochure, which is now available at rigips.de/rigitone-edge.
