RIGIPS at the trade fair FeuerTrutz 2025

High‑performance fire protection systems with Rigips Glasroc F Glasroc F (Ridurit) – new fire wall celebrates its "premiere"

Together with the Saint-Gobain sister companies ISOVER, Kaimann, and HKO, drywall specialist RIGIPS presented high‑performance systems for preventive structural fire protection under the motto "Fire protection solutions from a single source" at this year's FeuerTrutz in Nuremberg. Many of the solutions presented at the international trade fair are based on the new fire protection board Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit). In addition to tested systems, such as those for structural cladding and installation and cable ducts, a new fire wall solution was showcased for the first time. One of its key advantages: the new solution for non-load-bearing, space-enclosing fire walls completely eliminates the need for the usual metal inserts.

On 25 and 26 June 2025, fire protection experts and manufacturers gathered at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre to learn about the latest developments and regulations. For many attendees, the joint stand of Saint-Gobain companies RIGIPS, ISOVER, Kaimann and HKO was one of the first points of contact.

The systems presented included a four-sided structural cladding system in F 90, an I 60 installation duct solution with a loose lid and E 90 cable ducts with a fixed lid. Visitors were also able to learn about an innovative system for solid and drywall wall penetrations, which combines the benefits of various RIGIPS, ISOVER and Kaimann products.

Securely planned, easily implemented – new fire wall offers many advantages

The much-discussed 'highlight' of the exhibition stand was the presentation of a new fire wall. This non-load-bearing, space-enclosing and thermally insulated wall construction, which is designed using metal studs and symmetrical three-layer cladding with Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit), eliminates the need for metal inserts. This offers numerous advantages to planners and craftsmen: "By eliminating the metal inserts, which are usually quite complex to install, the construction of firewalls is significantly simplified and accelerated. For example, screwing on the cladding is much easier as there is no need to penetrate the steel inserts," explains Jens Möller, RIGIPS' product manager. "The two lower cladding layers can be tightly joined and require no jointing, saving both material and time. Thanks to the continuous cladding with Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit), only one board material is needed, which simplifies the planning of the wall construction and minimises the risk of installation errors."

In addition to tested systems, such as those for structural cladding and installation and cable ducts, the prototype of a new Rigips fire wall "celebrated" its premiere at FeuerTrutz. Resource-saving fire protection board thanks to recycled gypsum

The recently introduced fire protection board Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit) of the latest generation is a fleece-reinforced gypsum board in accordance with DIN EN 15283-1 Type GM-FH2 with reduced water absorption and improved structural cohesion at high temperatures. The special board remains stable and crack-free even under prolonged fire exposure. The new version of the non-combustible fire protection boards (building material class A1) has fully fleece-covered edges for additional stability and easy installation. Furthermore, Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit) is produced using 20 percent recycled gypsum, making an important contribution to resource conservation and the reuse of gypsum boards. Rigips also offers a corresponding recycling service with EASY ECO.
