Rigips System Search upgrade

Material calculation now includes labour times and costs for drywall partitions

The release of the Rigips System Search has enhanced quantity calculation with a new function for determining labour times and material costs. Users can now calculate the specific installation requirements for a wide range of Rigips drywall systems.
Another major advantage is that the gross list prices of all Saint-Gobain building materials are automatically determined and listed. This is based on the dimensions of each wall entered into the system.
This provides a solid foundation for creating quotes, as well as for reliable work preparation and personnel planning.

This is how the new system search works

As usual, after selecting a suitable system variant, users are taken to the quantity calculation. There are three options available there:

  • Items
A classic quantity calculation at item level, including mass details.
  • CO₂
Sustainability assessment with output of the GWP value (Global Warming Potential) as an indicator.
  • Times & Costs
    Extended evaluation including:
    - Overview of all relevant products and items
    - Calculated quantities
    - Gross list prices per product as well as for the entire construction
    - Differentiated, reliable installation times – structured by work step

The determined labour times are based on recognised labour time value tables and standard time catalogues from Zeittechnik-Verlag GmbH and the Institute for Time Management and Construction Consulting (both in Neu-Isenburg), supplemented by internal experience values.
The “Times & Costs” function is currently available for Rigips drywall systems. Extension to additional building elements will follow gradually.

New results tile in the Rigips System Search

The results display of the Rigips System Search has been fundamentally revised based on user feedback:

  • Clear separation of system and variant
  • Suitable variants shown as a sortable, expandable table
  • More info on the system, including maximum values

The background to this is that user tests previously revealed that distinguishing between the system and its variants was not optimal. The new results tile clearly separates these two levels, making it easier to select the correct variant.

A collapsible, tabular overview of other system variants relevant to the selected filter is now shown below the tile. The columns in the table can be sorted in ascending or descending order. You can still access additional system information specifically via the "More info on the system" button, which now shows the maximum system properties.

The new display makes navigating the search results more transparent. The optimal system variant can now be selected more quickly and intuitively.
