RK 01/23: Rigidur® dry screed and ECOtherm underfloor heating – the perfect renovation solution
No more cold feet! Anyone renovating an older house won't want to miss out on the comfort of underfloor heating. Modern heat pumps can also be retrofitted in existing buildings and combined with underfloor heating. For this purpose, the perfect solution is now available: Rigidur screed elements with integrated ECOtherm underfloor heating...
RK 01/22: Rigidur® screed element 20 and ISOVER Akustic EP 3 – two strong products for perfect soundproofing
Low construction height with 3 dB more than the market standard - we aim to make construction better and safer. To achieve this, we develop systems and accessories that meet this goal. Depending on their design, Rigidur screed elements offer enhanced performance in terms of permissible loads, sound and fire protection, and thermal insulation. They can also be combined with other products to create the optimal floor structure.
RK 05/21: approval-free exterior ceilings with Rigips® Glasroc® X in dry construction
Exterior ceilings often serve as real eye-catchers, immediately drawing attention. What you might not realise at first is that these sub-ceiling structures in outdoor areas are increasingly being constructed using the dry construction method, which has long been established in interior construction. This involves using special construction boards that offer the benefits of dry construction in outdoor areas. To ensure they remain problem-free during later use, they must be highly moisture- and mould-resistant. One example is the glass-fibre-reinforced special gypsum board Rigips Glasroc X, which features a UV-resistant glass fleece that securely encases its highly hydrophobic gypsum core. Thanks to these properties...
RK 04/21: burglar-resistant walls in RC 2 and RC 3 with Rigips® Habito® without steel sheets
Why is burglary protection important? "The home is inviolable", as stated in Article 13 of the Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany. However, burglars don't just target homes; public and private spaces are frequently affected too. To keep these unwanted visitors at bay, preventive burglary protection measures are crucial.
As well as technical equipment for monitoring or deterring intruders, the construction itself can contribute to burglary resistance.
RK 03/21: Rigidur® H - gypsum fibreboard, the wood construction alternative to OSB

RK 02/21: fire protection and load fastening even for high walls with Rigips® Habito®
A key issue in modern dry construction is the creation of high walls that can support heavy loads. According to the relevant dry construction standards DIN 18183-1 and DIN 4103-1, this was only possible to a limited extent until now, as increased cantilever loads had to be introduced into a drywall using additional aids, such as crossbeams.
Rigips offers a tested solution with the Rigips Habito massive drywall board, which exceeds standard requirements and provides significant processing advantages.
RK 01/21: alternative to OSB: load fastening with Rigidur® H gypsum fibreboards on drywalls
In drywall construction, robust walls that also need to allow for easy load fastening often incorporate wood-based panels (e.g. OSB boards or chipboards). These are integrated into the drywall construction to enable direct load fastening to the wall via screwing, eliminating the need for dowels and drilling. However, this method can cause problems in practice, so in this issue of Rigips Compact, we highlight the material-related impacts and present our reliable alternative.
RK 03/20: Rigidur® screed elements and underfloor heating – the perfect combination
Not only does underfloor heating create a pleasant, cosy warmth, it also offers many creative freedoms in room planning and design. It is protected by a screed that ideally supports its benefits. In most construction projects, the installation time is the decisive selection criterion, and so a dry screed with Rigidur screed elements is often the only option considered. This applies to both new builds and renovations. Combining an underfloor heating system with Rigidur screed elements is straightforward and, thanks to the clever arrangement of additional components, can even offer advantages in terms of special requirements, such as soundproofing or fire protection.
RK 02/20: maximum soundproofing up to 98 dB with Rigidur® H gypsum fibreboards
Standard constructions often cannot solve special sound and room acoustic challenges. In Rigips Compact 02/2020, we use the example of RAW Hall 20 in Berlin to show you how Rigips can support the development of special solutions.
In close coordination with all parties involved, including KAEFER Construction GmbH, we developed the following completely new and complex room-in-room construction for the specific requirements of RAW Hall 20.
RK 01/20: hybrid wall construction: Rigips® Habito® - Rigips® Die Harte
A hybrid wall construction consists of a double-sided drywall made of two different types of board.
This intelligently combines the strengths of the two types of board.
In Rigips Compact 01/20, we present the advantages of this construction method using the example of its implementation in the Weserrenaissance Museum Schloss Brake in Lemgo, with Rigips Die Harte in the first layer and Rigips Habito in the second. A project-specific solution was developed here that was precisely tailored to the client's requirements.
