Our verification for Rigidur screed elements on a timber joist floor
Good thing - RIGIPS has a valid AbP!
For over 75 years, RIGIPS has been providing expertise in structural fire protection, offering outstanding products that have been thoroughly tested and enable the creation of a wide range of functional and economical fire protection constructions. Our name stands for the highest quality and reliability in fire protection. To give you maximum security in your planning and execution, RIGIPS offers a variety of certifications for your everyday planning, including approvals, general building authority test certificates (AbP) and other proofs of applicability. Fire protection encompasses all measures that help prevent fire, smoke, and the further spread of a fire. These measures protect people, nature and property, with the protection of life and health naturally taking the highest priority.
Rigidur screed elements on a timber joist floor
Not only do timber joist floors with Rigidur screed elements provide an audible improvement in sound insulation, they also meet the highest fire protection requirements. The timber joist floor can achieve a fire resistance duration of up to 120 minutes with Rigidur screed elements, and many systems also comply with the MHolzBauRL 2020 requirements, formerly known as the K260 encapsulation criterion.
Your fulfilment of proof requirements through our AbP
The situation regarding proof in timber construction for F 60-B and F 90-B constructions is currently evolving in Germany. The industry is facing the challenge that expired AbPs for timber constructions in F 60-B and F 90-B cannot be extended due to changes and continuous adjustments to the formal foundations in the Model Administrative Regulation Technical Building Regulations (MVV TB). Additionally, these regulations are implemented differently in individual federal states. These changes affect not only walls, but also ceilings in timber construction.
Our proof of applicability, the general building authority test certificate (AbP) with number P-3117/1178-MPA BS, covers ceiling constructions with a screed structure made of Rigidur screed elements in fire resistance classes F30 to F120 in the event of one-sided fire exposure to the ceiling from above. These constructions include wooden beam ceilings, as well as steel and prestressed concrete slab, beam or ribbed ceilings, with or without intermediate components, and trapezoidal sheet ceilings. The possible combinations can be found in Annex 8 of the AbP.
