Gypsum fibre boards RIGIDUR

For all applications: floor, wall, ceiling, roof & timber construction

Thanks to an innovative production process, Rigidur gypsum fibreboards made from natural gypsum and recycled paper fibres not only meet the requirements of ultra-modern drywall building materials, but their very smooth yet hard surface also makes them suitable for construction projects with increased demands on structural integrity, fire protection or sound insulation.

RIGIPS offers a wide range of products with outstanding properties through its Rigidur product line. These products are suitable for various applications, including flooring — with the option of installing underfloor heating — as well as walls, ceilings, roofs and timber construction.

RIGIDUR – for everything...

Floor - Rigidur dry screed elements

Rigips' Rigidur floor elements are made of pre-primed gypsum fibre with a stepped edge, with no backing material underneath. They have an extremely hard and smooth surface. The Rigidur floor element enables the quick installation of dry screed floors, including those requiring fire protection, in new builds and renovation projects. They are also suitable for installation with underfloor heating (see below).

One of the standout advantages of the Rigidur floor system over conventional screeds is its extremely short construction time. While it usually takes 28 days for cement screed to dry, floor coverings can be applied to Rigidur dry screed floors after just 24 hours. Rigidur floor elements provide a safe foundation for all common floor coverings, including parquet, laminate, carpet, tiles and vinyl.

Rigidur floor elements weigh less than half as much as a cement screed of the same thickness. This significantly reduced ceiling load allows for greater flexibility in floor design. Rigidur floor elements are ideal for all household wet rooms, including bathrooms and kitchens.

Not only does underfloor heating create a pleasant, cosy warmth, but it also offers plenty of creative freedom in room planning and design. It can be installed in new buildings or as part of energy-efficient renovations to older properties.

Retrofitting modern heat pumps in existing buildings can easily be combined with underfloor heating. For this application, the following combination is ideal: a dry screed made from Rigidur elements with an integrated underfloor heating system from ECOtherm. ECOtherm GmbH's milling technique enables a highly efficient underfloor heating system to be installed in the Rigidur dry screed floor.

The systems' low installation height and quick installation without long drying times are particularly convincing. This makes them ideal for renovation or modernisation projects, letting you enjoy the cosy warmth of underfloor heating without compromise. They are also suitable for modern heat pump retrofits...
