Rigips traverse in drywall construction
Simple load fastening and fire protection
Drywall partitions to which cantilever loads are to be attached must be reinforced within the wall cavity. This can be done using materials such as boards, planks or cut-to-size wood-based panels, or ready-made wooden traverses.

RIGIPS offers a prefabricated traverse made from 20 mm-thick gypsum fibreboard, measuring 300 x 610 mm. A groove has been milled into the surface to accommodate the bending of the CW profile.

Possible applications for the Rigips traverse, e.g. for:
- Kitchen units / cabinets
- Bumper protection constructions
- Cloakrooms / shelving walls / monitors / handrails
- School blackboards / electrical cable trays, etc.
Characteristics of the Rigips traverse:
- Mounting of cantilever loads according to DIN 4103-1 or DIN 18183-1
- European construction product according to DIN EN 14190
- Fire behaviour: non-combustible, building material class A2-s1,d0
- Conforms to Rigips fire protection approval certificates for drywall partitions
- Flat bearing surface, precisely fits the 625 mm grid dimension
- Easy installation using Rigips TN quick-assembly screws
- Can be shortened as desired by simply sawing off to the required width for stud spacings less than 625 mm
Advantages of combining Rigips drywall partitions and Rigips traverses:
- The requirements for fire protection verification documents of the Rigips systems are met, as it is a standardised, non-combustible construction product, building material class A2-s1,d0
- This offers safety for planning, tendering, and construction execution
