Structural fire protection 2.0
RIGIPS completes extensive expansion of its proven fire protection compendium – printed and digital
The compendium "Structural Fire Protection with Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit)" has been facilitating the planning and execution of complex fire protection tasks for many years and serves numerous fire protection specialists, insulators, fire protection planners, and other construction professionals as a reliable planning basis. After an initial expansion this spring, manufacturer RIGIPS completed the update of the printed work in autumn 2025. Compared to the original version, the scope of the proven reference work has nearly tripled in the current version – among other things, a testament to the increasing relevance of preventive structural fire protection in modern building concepts and the comprehensive solution expertise of RIGIPS.
Comprehensive fire protection expertise on around 340 pages: the compendium "Structural Fire Protection with Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit)" has been available since autumn 2025 in an extensively expanded and updated version as a PDF download, interactive flipbook, and printed copy. More at rigips.de/glasrocf.
Despite the considerable scope and complexity of the topic, RIGIPS has focused on presenting the various construction solutions as simply and intuitively as possible. "Among other things, the comprehensive detailed representations and overviews of all system variants, with a total of nearly 1,100 illustrations, including around 930 CAD drawings and many connection details, result in a scope of a good 340 compendium pages," explains Jens Möller, responsible product manager and fire protection expert at RIGIPS. "We have ensured that readers and users can quickly and easily find a suitable solution for their construction project thanks to the clear structure. The PDF version and the online flipbook facilitate work further thanks to many interactive cross-links to other relevant documents, such as product and safety data sheets."
A few clicks lead to the right solution
The central element for quick searches and easy accessibility of all suitable fire protection solutions is the Rigips system search – it is also directly linked to the new flipbook. Clicking on the corresponding web code in the flipbook opens the relevant system variant in a new browser window. "Only a few characteristics need to be entered in our system search to find the precise application. Once the filtered system is selected, further information, construction details, test certificates and other planning data are immediately available." The innovative fire wall systems BW12GR and BW13GR are an illustrative example of the practical implementation of efficient fire protection solutions and their integration into the new fire protection compendium. These non-load-bearing, room-separating wall constructions with thermal insulation are designed using a metal stud frame with symmetrical two- or three-layer cladding with Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit) fire protection boards without sheet metal inserts, offering numerous advantages in terms of planning and execution. Sheet metal is a thing of the past!
The integration of the innovative fire wall systems BW12GR and BW13GR is an illustrative example of the practical development and implementation of efficient fire protection solutions and the new fire protection compendium. These can be easily accessed by entering the web codes (BW12GR-002 or BW13GR-002) into the system search's search field. The new systems are non-load-bearing, room-separating wall constructions made using a metal stud frame with two or three layers of symmetrical cladding made from the Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit) fire protection board without sheet metal inserts. These systems were first presented at this year's FeuerTrutz exhibition and offer significant advantages. Eliminating the sheet metal insert greatly simplifies and accelerates firewall construction. The two lower cladding layers can be tightly joined and require no joint filling, resulting in further material and time savings. Additionally, thanks to the continuous use of Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit) cladding, only one type of board is required, which simplifies wall construction planning and minimises the risk of installation errors.
Like many other fire protection systems, Rigips presents its new fire wall solutions in a concise video. These informative animations are an important addition to the new compendium "Structural Fire Protection with Rigips Glasroc F (Ridurit)" with another important component.
The PDF download and interactive flipbook are now available at rigips.de/glasrocf or in the section rigips.de/downloads. Those interested in a printed version of the new compendium "Structural Fire Protection with Glasroc F (Ridurit)" can contact the familiar Rigips representatives on-site.
