RIGIPS donates to Mukoviszidose e.V.
Hope for a longer life and a better quality of life
More than 8,000 people in Germany are living with cystic fibrosis. This rare, congenital metabolic disease is incurable. Those affected and their families can find help and support at Mukoviszidose e.V. in Bonn, which also serves as a central point of contact for healthcare providers, therapists and scientists. The Rigips Southern Sales Administration team supports the vital work of the association by donating a substantial sum received as a prize in a sales competition. Managing Director Danijel Lučić increased the donation further, bringing it to €5,000. On 18 March 2026, Rigips Regional Manager Meinhard Landmann presented the cheque for the donation in Bonn.
Although the average life expectancy of people with cystic fibrosis has increased steadily in recent years, the disease remains incurable. Newborn screening for cystic fibrosis has been in place nationwide since 2016. An early diagnosis can increase the chances of a longer and healthier life for children. Mukoviszidose e.V. has campaigned for this screening to be introduced for many years.
"Through our donation, we hope to support the ongoing successful efforts to combat this serious disease and finally find effective solutions, offering children and young people a better quality of life and a longer future", said Danijel Lučić, RIGIPS's Managing Director of Sales and Marketing.
