Reliable partners for two decades
SAINT-GOBAIN ISOVER and RIGIPS honoured for 20 years of supporting membership of the Federal Association of German Prefabricated Construction (BDF).
During its annual conference in Marburg in October 2025, the BDF honoured SAINT-GOBAIN ISOVER and RIGIPS for their long-standing sponsorship membership. The insulation specialist and the drywall pioneer have been members of the industry association for 20 years, providing the prefabricated house industry with innovative products and services.
Product and component solutions with added value for the industry and the environment
From next year onwards, ISOVER will be offering the Lanaé industry, a wool that is particularly climate-friendly. It is made from up to 80% recycled glass and is produced using a patented binder that is based on substances from the production of sugar and grain. It is also an integral part of many prefabricated house projects. ISOVER ULTIMATE is a high-performance insulation material that provides the same fire, thermal and sound protection as conventional stone wool, but is up to 50% lighter and therefore significantly easier to process.
For many years, RIGIPS has been offering solutions and products that provide real added value, particularly for the construction of prefabricated houses. These include robust Rigidur gypsum fibreboards and screed elements, as well as Rigips fire protection boards and speciality boards such as the highly moisture-resistant Glasroc X.
The new Infina product range contains 40% recycled gypsum, and the RiDuce profiles offer significantly reduced CO₂ wood and drywall solutions. Together, they offer the potential to design slimmer, more cost-effective and efficient prefabricated components.
11 of a total of 122 sponsoring members were honoured
The BDF currently counts 122 sponsoring members and 50 regular members, representing the majority of industrial wood prefabricated construction in Germany and some neighbouring countries. From the group of sponsoring members, eleven of the longest-standing were honoured in Marburg and ceremoniously presented with a certificate.
