New at DACH+HOLZ 2026: reliably planning the right system solution – including environmental influences

Rigips system search and ISOVER configurator expanded with CO2 calculator – new calculation tool for the ecological balance

From a functional and economic perspective, finding the optimal expansion or insulation solution is one of the most time-consuming daily challenges for planners, architects and skilled craftsmen. The RIGIPS system search and the ISOVER configurator have provided reliable assistance for years. These well-established online tools provide optimal planning data in seconds. In light of the growing importance of sustainability in construction project planning, these two tools have now been significantly enhanced with the addition of a powerful CO₂ calculator. Based on verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) data, the calculator determines the CO₂ footprint of the selected system solutions. The enhanced Rigips system search will be presented to the public for the first time at this year's DACH+HOLZ. The ISOVER configurator will also be updated with this new feature later this year.

A valuable enhancement: the Rigips system search will be supplemented with important environmental data, such as emissions, energy consumption and material efficiency, thanks to a new, powerful CO₂ calculator. This new feature will also be added to the ISOVER configurator later this year.

Drywall and insulation professionals, architects, and planners benefit from the Rigips system search and the ISOVER configurator, which are intelligent digital tools that determine the optimal system variant based on the required technical specifications and project details. Complete sectional drawings, connection details and tender texts are also provided. This makes searching for suitable system variants particularly straightforward and time-efficient.

CO₂ data for the manufacturing phase

The new CO₂ calculator enhances the digital calculation tools from RIGIPS and ISOVER by providing important environmental data based on material usage. This enables the intuitive selection of suitable, sustainable system solutions. The GWP-total value (Global Warming Potential) for modules A1-A3 is calculated within the CO2 calculator in [kg CO2-eq./m²]. ISOVER and RIGIPS are collaborating with Formitas AG, a leading company in the digitalisation of the construction industry, to implement this advancement.

Global Warming Potential (GWP)

The GWP value indicates global greenhouse potential. It is calculated based on the specifications previously defined, the dimensions of the component and the surface quality. In the system overview, these values are normalised to a base value of 1 m². Once the user has entered the actual dimensions of the selected component to calculate the required material quantities, the system calculates the correct CO₂ value per m² of the component in question. This value can then be read directly by the user as the GWP total A1–A3 for the selected and defined system. This eliminates the need for lengthy and time-consuming research and evaluation of relevant documents. The GWP value can be determined at any time at system level and is often a decisive factor in consultations or when adding to projects requiring an LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) at building level.

Continuous developments

Data for additional components and system variants will be provided gradually. The impact of additional lifecycle phases, such as usage and disposal, as well as the potential benefits of recycling, will also be added over time. Additional attributes, such as water consumption during the production, development, usage and end-of-life phases, will also be considered in the future.

The Rigips system search, enhanced with the new CO₂ calculator, can be found at rigips.de/systemsuche. The ISOVER configurator is available in its current functionality at isover.de/konfigurator (the CO₂ calculator update will be implemented during 2026).

To ensure transparency and reliability, the new CO₂ calculator uses verified product EPDs for all calculations, providing robust, standardised data from RIGIPS and ISOVER.

Sustainability data in one document

Another innovation in environmental data is sustainability data sheets, which ISOVER and RIGIPS will jointly present at DACH+HOLZ. These sheets compile all the relevant sustainability information on a product in a single document, which is essential for meeting certification requirements.
