RIGIPS launches new campaign on gypsum fibre systems

Interior construction with G(r)ips – intelligent drywall solutions for walls, ceilings, roofs and floors

Powerful gypsum fibre systems are always recommended for interior construction when special requirements or client wishes need to be met. Whether the requirements concern surface hardness and quality, the easy fastening of loads or impressive sound and fire protection, RIGIPS has offered a particularly comprehensive range with Rigidur for many years. This range allows the advantages of gypsum fibre boards to be fully utilised in all areas of interior work. With a new information campaign, the manufacturer is currently highlighting these benefits.

Whether used as screed elements, partition walls or cladding for timber element and timber frame constructions, Rigidur gypsum fibre systems demonstrate their strengths wherever they are needed. These strengths form the central theme of the recently launched information campaign, which is based on the slogan “Rigidur, the G(r)ipsfaserplatte!”. "Our goal is to communicate the possibilities and advantages of dry interior construction with gypsum fibre solutions more broadly and intensively through an attention-grabbing campaign", explains Alexander Geissels, Head of Marketing Communications at RIGIPS. 'When it comes to healthy living environments in particular, architects, planners and our partners in specialised retail and trades can trust us to provide intelligent solutions that reliably meet their customers’ wishes and requirements."

Ideal for residential and non-residential buildings

The numerous advantages of gypsum fibre as a building material explain the broad range of applications for RIGIPS products and systems. The high surface hardness of Rigidur gypsum fibre boards, for instance, renders walls impact- and scratch-resistant. With their exceptionally high surface quality (quality level Q3) and factory-applied primer, gypsum fibreboards provide an ideal base for subsequent coatings without the need for full-surface joint finishing. Their exceptional stability makes them ideal for timber frame construction as they can serve as load-bearing structural elements. They also demonstrate their robustness in terms of load transfer: shelves or cabinets can be mounted directly onto the wall without the need for special dowels. All gypsum fibreboards are also classified as "non-combustible building material class A2", offering maximum safety in terms of preventive structural fire protection.

"In addition, all of our gypsum fibre solutions are thoroughly healthy building materials," explains Kai Fricke, responsible product manager at RIGIPS. "Rigidur gypsum fibre boards are made from natural gypsum and paper fibres sourced from recycled materials. They have been certified as safe for use in buildings by the Institut für Baubiologie Rosenheim, among others. They are also recommended by the Sentinel Haus Institute for healthy buildings. The high heat storage capacity of walls constructed with Rigidur gypsum fibreboards, coupled with their built-in humidity regulation, ensures a consistently pleasant indoor climate."

RIGIPS has compiled all the information on gypsum fibre in a particularly clear format on the newly designed landing page at www.rigips.de/rigidur. There, all relevant brochures and processing guidelines are also available for free download.
