Hermann Grupe visits the Rigips plant in Bodenwerder
On 30 September 2022, we had the pleasure of welcoming Hermann Grupe, a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament, and his colleagues from local politics to the Rigips plant in Bodenwerder.
Our guests were impressed by the production facilities and the dedication of the people working at the plant. They were also interested in the extensive conservation measures in gypsum mining in the Weserbergland and Harz regions, as well as the long-running RIGIPS nature conservation projects.
There was a consensus that natural gypsum is indispensable and irreplaceable for the region and the entire German construction market. Participants saw the explosion in energy costs and its associated effects as an enormous entrepreneurial challenge that requires decisive political support.
