The manufacturers have combined two true sound absorbers in the Rigidur screed element 20 and the ISOVER Akustic EP 3 screed insulation board. Independent tests confirm that, with a total construction height of 32 mm (12 mm screed insulation) laid over a solid ceiling, the impact sound improvement index D Lw is 25 dB. With a construction height of 40 mm (20 mm screed insulation), an impact sound improvement index of 28 dB can be achieved. This combination is up to 3 dB better than comparable constructions.

Robust, easy to install, cost-effective

This combination of a robust Rigidur gypsum fibre screed element and a highly compressed, non-combustible ISOVER Akustic EP3 insulation board is ideal for all living spaces, including hotel rooms. In addition to its low installation height and high impact sound protection, this solution offers all the advantages of standard dry screed systems. No construction moisture is introduced into the building; the desired top layer can be installed immediately upon completion; and, thanks to the low surface weight, static considerations — such as when renovating existing ceilings — are virtually irrelevant. Furthermore, combining Rigidur screed elements 20 with ISOVER Akustic EP 3 is economically advantageous.
