Durable façades in timber construction with Rigips Glasroc X
New video explains how to achieve high‑quality render finishes
Drywall specialist RIGIPS has recently released a new online video providing clear information on properly plastering the Rigips Glasroc X reinforcing gypsum board for long-lasting façade constructions. The concise film demonstrates the most important processing steps, clearly showing how plaster systems can easily and safely be applied to this proven board's surface. The result is exterior walls that are reliably and sustainably protected from environmental influences. The new application video can be found at www.rigips.de/aussenwand as well as on the RIGIPS YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/c/RigipsDe/videos.

RIGIPS offers a safe and system-certified solution for exterior walls with Glasroc X, a fleece-reinforced gypsum board. The board meets GM-FH1 type requirements according to DIN EN 15283-1 and features a highly UV-resistant, inorganic surface made of glass fleece and a highly moisture- and mould-resistant gypsum core reinforced with glass fibres. Exterior walls are protected against weathering for several months immediately after sheathing with Glasroc X and sealing the board joints. Once installation is complete, applying a durable plaster layer ensures the façade will resist environmental influences over the long term.
Processing steps for the render coating clearly explained
The new video from the drywall specialist provides a step-by-step guide to achieving the optimal render build-up in just three minutes. It presents the individual work stages required for creating high-quality timber facades, as well as the perfectly matched and certified system components from RIGIPS and its sister company Weber, in a clear and understandable manner. Topics covered include proper edge protection with reinforcing mesh, optimal priming and the application of a high-quality top coat.

Now two videos are available
Following the launch of this innovative drywall board for façade constructions earlier this year, RIGIPS released a video lasting around five minutes. This introductory video focuses on application guidelines for exterior timber walls and the correct installation of Glasroc X boards. The video can be found at www.rigips.de/aussenwand.
